Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will assist with immigration and luggage identification, she will then outside the terminal building to meet with your guide outside the terminal building, to then transfer you to your accommodation. Transfer time 15 minutes.

Day 2: Road transfer to Fort Portal – Scenic Journey to Uganda’s Crater Lake Region
After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and begin your scenic journey to Fort Portal, one of Uganda’s most beautiful destinations, known for its rolling hills, tea plantations, and spectacular crater lakes. The drive takes approximately seven hours and offers a fascinating glimpse into rural Uganda, passing through vibrant towns, lush countryside, and local farming communities.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, you may choose to participate in a range of optional activities offered by the lodge, including guided community visits that provide insight into local culture and traditions, coffee plantation tours where you can learn about Uganda’s renowned coffee production process, or nature walks through nearby forests rich in birdlife and indigenous vegetation.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, transfer to the briefing point for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park, one of Africa’s most important primate habitats. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, venture into the lush tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Along the way, you may also encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys, as well as a rich variety of bird species.
Once the chimpanzees are located, spend a memorable time observing their behavior in their natural environment—feeding, grooming, and interacting within their social groups.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, proceed for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed eco-tourism project known for its exceptional biodiversity. The swamp is home to several primate species, over 200 bird species, and a variety of butterflies and plant life, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

The journey takes approximately 3 hours and passes through the stunning Albertine Rift Valley, with sweeping views of rolling hills, rural settlements, and volcanic crater landscapes that define western Uganda.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Explore the vast savannah plains in search of iconic African species including elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, hyenas, and lions. In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This incredible cruise offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, with large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking along the shores, and elephants often seen drinking at the water’s edge. The channel is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with species such as African fish eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, and cormorants frequently spotted.

The drive takes approximately 4 hours, passing through diverse landscapes of open savannah, woodland, and rolling hills as you transition from the plains to Uganda’s highland rainforest.
En-route, travel through the Ishasha Sector, a remote and wildlife-rich area famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. With some luck, you may spot these remarkable predators resting in fig trees or acacia branches, offering a unique photographic opportunity found in only a few places in Africa.
Continue the journey with a meaningful stop at the “Ride for a Woman” community project, an inspiring local initiative that empowers women through crafts, education, and sustainable tourism. This visit provides insight into community-based conservation and the positive impact of tourism in the region.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on permit allocation, your trek will take place in either the Buhoma or Ruhija sector, both offering rich rainforest habitats and unique trekking routes.
Led by experienced ranger guides, hike through dense tropical jungle, navigating steep slopes, thick vegetation, and misty trails in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek duration varies depending on the location of the gorillas, but the journey is part of the adventure, offering opportunities to spot rare birds, butterflies, and other forest wildlife.

This additional trek offers a rare opportunity to explore a different sector of the forest and, if assigned, encounter a new habituated gorilla family with distinct behaviors and dynamics.
Accompanied by expert ranger guides, hike through the dense rainforest once again, immersing yourself in one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems on Earth. The trek may vary in duration and difficulty depending on gorilla movements and terrain, but every step deepens your connection to this ancient forest.
Upon locating the gorillas, spend another magical hour observing their interactions in the wild an unforgettable chance to further appreciate their intelligence, social structure, and gentle nature.

Day 9:Return to Entebbe – Equator Crossing Experience
After breakfast, depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and begin your return journey to Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 10 hours and offers a final opportunity to enjoy Uganda’s breathtaking countryside, from rolling green hills and rural villages to expansive savannah landscapes.
Enjoy a lunch stop en route before continuing your journey northward. One of the highlights of the drive is a photo stop at the Uganda Equator Crossing, where you can stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time. This is also a great opportunity for souvenir shopping and capturing memorable photos of your safari adventure.
Arrive in Entebbe in the evening and check in to your hotel for rest after the long journey.
